In May, our Pre-primary children had a visit from the Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital (AWCH WA).  They spent the day doing interactive, engaging, hands-on activities including role-play while learning about hospitals, doctors, nurses and medical equipment.

The AWCH WA is a not for profit organisation addressing the emotional and social needs of children in healthcare.  Through the creation of the Hospital Familiarisation Program (HFP), they aim to decrease the fear and anxiety that children may have about going to hospital.  After a fun day of learning about hospitals, our Pre-Primaries are certainly fearless!
