Our students joined more than a million children across Australia in celebrating National Simultaneous Storytime 2026, sharing in the excitement of reading together as one nation.
Every class tuned in to the live National Simultaneous Storytime broadcast, enjoying the featured story alongside schools, libraries and community groups from across the country. It was wonderful to see students so engaged, laughing, listening intently and sharing in the joy that a great book can bring.
Following the story, our junior classes extended their learning through a range of creative activities inspired by the book. Students produced colourful artwork, explored the story’s themes and characters, and proudly showcased their creations throughout the school.
National Simultaneous Storytime is a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading while highlighting the importance of literacy, imagination and shared experiences. It was fantastic to see every class participating so enthusiastically and celebrating the magic of storytelling together.
