We believe that parents and families are key partners in every aspect of their child’s school experience. Majella families are an integral part of the life and culture of the school, providing practical support and contributing to community spirit and morale. When children see their parents, caregivers and teachers sharing common beliefs, attitudes and goals, they feel more secure and demonstrate a greater sense of self-worth.
In valuing the link between home and school we invite parents and caregivers to share in school celebrations and activities such as:
Our staff are extraordinarily talented and dedicated. Recruited for their outstanding achievements and experience and their commitment to Majella’s values, each staff member takes seriously their pivotal role in shaping young people’s lives.
Many of our teachers have postgraduate qualifications and all have completed intensive Accreditation courses to work in a Catholic school. Every staff member is committed to enhancing and expanding their knowledge and skills through ongoing professional learning.
Majella’s students are young people who represent a wide variety of talent, backgrounds and experience. Committed to creating a diverse community of learners that reflects the character and changing face of our city, we value difference and celebrate each young person’s individual strengths and needs. Our students are taught to be responsible and caring, both inside the school and as citizens of our city, nation and world.
