Principal’s Message

Welcome to Majella School, a small Catholic primary school located in Balga, where the dignity, rights and diversity of individuals and the environment are respected and enriched through Gospel values. Rich in cultural diversity and population, we are proud of the unique school community we have here at Majella and the strong individual, family and parish focus that is in place.

For many students and their families, Majella School has served as their first experience of school life and community here in Australia. For this reason the school proudly focuses on aiming to make a real difference and by living up to the motto of “Transforming Lives”.

Given the number and range of cultural backgrounds within the school population there is an established and effective pastoral care programme in existence. Along with a structured learning curriculum using the explicit instruction methodology and a supported EAL/D programme, the academic progress of all students is supported through specialist teachers working in the areas of Physical Education, Science, Art and Humanities & Social Sciences.
